My license key is not working

I am migrating EE to a new upgraded site. I will be taking down old page but need to test everything first. I put in the license key I currently have but it is not working on new site. What to do?

Hi there,

Your license key is valid for one site, adding it to another will cause notices to be thrown on both sites and automatic updates will stop working.

You don’t need to use the license key on your test site, you can install EE (and add-ons) on that site and leave the key field empty. You will need to manually update EE on that site, but it will work the same with and without the key.
