Hi,

I can’t seem to to see the reflections of my updates on my event espresso. For example:

On this page it lists all my events: https://muslimmarriageevents.com/event-list/

Now I have made changes to this event: https://muslimmarriageevents.com/events/somali-muslims/? But its not being reflected on the events list – https://muslimmarriageevents.com/event-list/

If you go to the actual page via wordpress backend I see the changes but when it becomes public, the changes are not implemented. So here the date of the event on the actual page is correct but the date on the event listing is different.

And this page: https://muslimmarriageevents.com/events/london-converts-including-born-marriage-event/ is not being reflected on the events list – https://muslimmarriageevents.com/event-list/

Can someone advise what I am doing wrong?

Hi there,

It looks like you have caching enabled on the site (WPRocket to be specific)

The way caching works is to generate a page and then save that generated output to the server on the next request(s) made for that page. Which means if you made a change to an event the cache needs to be ‘purged’ for those changes to show.

However, your EE events should be excluded from caching anyway as you can not cache e-commerce requests (such as using Event Espresso).

So the first thing I would do here is run through the details here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

To add the EE4 critical pages to WPRockets cache exclusions.

For your site, you’ll also need to include /event-list/.

Thanks, I have purged the cache and and it work

But I did another textual change and again whilst the ‘cache’ button can’t been seen, the changes were not implemented.

Any thoughts?

Event Espresso itself does not have any caching built into it, so if you are making changes that are then not being reflected on the site it’s due to the caching plugin you are using server cached content.

Have you excluded the EE’s pages from caching as mentioned above?
