I am setting up an event, but in testing, the payment form is not allowing credit card to be entered.

Hi Wanda,
Can you please let us know which payment method you are using?
If you are not using any payment method then we recommend using payment gateways like Stripe for credit card payments:

Thank you for responding. I am hoping to use Paypal Pro (as I am on other client’s websites). But, it is not showing as an option. I was able to code in Paypal Standard, but that is not my preference. I thought EE4/5 had Paypal Pro included but it does not appear as an option in the Payment Methods. Can I add function.php coding to force it?

I’m sorry, let me add to that. I got on a bit of a moment about the Payment Method. The registration form comes up, and you can enter information, BUT you can’t see what is entered. I changed the background for the registration page, which helped. I can now see the form, but can see any of the entries.

Can you send us direct link to see the problem is? I tried to browse on your site but a counter is blocking me to see the form.
this might be only CSS styling issue, We might suggest things to do if we can see what it looks like and be able to inspect element.

We are using Paypal Standard now. Up until two weeks ago we used Paypal pro with Event Espress for 6 years on this site. The site crashed so I am rebuilding it.

PayPal Pro has been deprecated and has been for some time now, it won’t show for ‘new’ installs but will continue to show if it was used previously. However, PayPal themselves have deprecated the integration method used for Pro in favour of their newer integrations. Which means that right now if you use it and run into issues with it they wont help and will just advise switching to a newer integration (which is essentially what we are doing).
If you’ve used some code to enable PayPal_Standard then that code is essentially the same but needs to be set to enable PayPal_Pro, however, I would recommend switching to PayPal Commerce.
