Multiple User Registration Question

I think the product will do but I need but I just want to make sure it will logistically work.

I will be using it for camp signups, there is a price for registering for 1 week and a lower price for registering for more then 1 week.

Since parents may be signing up individual children, I figured it would be easiest to use the multiple event registration to list the available weeks to signup for as individual events.

Once the number of signees for each event were selected they’d be taken to the area to fill out the child details for each event.

The problem is the registration fee. If you register 1 child for 1 week it should be $100, if you register a second child for 1 week it should also be $100 price. But if the first child registers for 2 weeks they get charged $75 per week, but the second child should still get charged $100 for 1 week.

So I thought maybe the easiest way would be to register each child individually, so select the weeks the child will register and fill out info and move on. The question is, after 1 child is fully registered, is it possible to have a “Register another child” that jumps them back to the initial form.

The purpose is so that they’re only paying once for all children they’re registering, and also so they’re possibly sharing information (Parent Emergency Contact, etc.)

Thank you, if you need me to detail it out better I can. I did try the demos and looked around the forums, but I didn’t find my exact answer. Thanks!

Whoops, I meant MULTIPLE children here, not individual:

“ince parents may be signing up individual children”

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.

I don’t think Event Espresso will work quite like that out of the box. We have a Volume Discount add-on (in beta) that will allow you to set up discounts according to the number of tickets/events purchases. However, it is not designed for the complexity of your event pricing.

Please feel free to contact one of our Pro-Developers to see if they might be able to help you with this.

Let me know if you have anymore questions. I’ll be happy to answer them.

Wow, the price tags on those pro-developers is quite steep(especially in comparison to the product cost).

Is there a way with the multiple event registration to require that they select at least 2 events?

Hi Andrea,

Custom development is usually more costly than purchasing a product due to the fact that it is more of a one off, whereas we can absorb development costs as we are selling to many people.

To answer you, there is no way currently in the plugin to require that a specific event or specific number of events need to be purchased.

The only way I can think of to achieve it would be with JavaScript, again this would be custom development.
