If one of the staff created an event as one date/one ticket and it should have had other dates/tickets listed on it, and people have already registered, what is the best way to modify those people to get these other dates/tickets associated with them? Thank you!

The one way that I can think of would be to add the date times to the event, and when you add them, you assign the missing date times to the one ticket that already has the registrations.

I did see that, but I need it to track attendance as well. So that actually leads me to another question…..
I was told to create
Datetime 1
Datetime 2
Datetime 3
and
Ticket 1
Ticket 2
Ticket 3
and associate them accordingly
Datetime 1 – Ticket 1
Datetime 2 – Ticket 2
Datetime 3 – Ticket 3
in order to accomplish tracking attendance for each.

Do I really need to do this, or will it still track attendance for each date/time if there is just one ticket??
Datetime 1 – Ticket 1
Datetime 2 – Ticket 1
Datetime 3 – Ticket 1

Hi Samantha,

You mentioned that you would need to track attendance which sounds like there is a strict limit for each datetime.

If that is the case, then I would create the additional options so you have accurate figures for the registrants/attendees for each datetime.

So the first scenario is what I should do then? Yes not only that but we also need to limit someone registering for the same event…..one person (and we’re using the user management) should be prevented from registering if they have already registered for an event.

Also what would be the correct way to go about it if we needed to register someone after the event has passed? Keep in mind that we need to login as them because we need to bring across their previous answers.

I’m thinking we can add a junk datetime that is in the future and then just delete it after we are done with entry…but I don’t know how bad that will wonk with stuff…

Hello,

Event Espresso does not have the following feature:

…(and we’re using the user management) should be prevented from registering if they have already registered for an event.

The other thing is it may be possible for them to use an alternative email address to register if the ticket selector is publicly available.

If an event has passed, then extend the ticket registration date and set the event to draft. Then manually send through a registration and afterwards, change the date back (so tickets are no longer available) and then publish the event again.

Yes I know they could login with an alternate email. We are okay with that. But we do not want people to register for an event they are already registered for. Certainly there is some sort of hook where I can check whether they are already registered for that event and give them a message (at the very least).

This does not work…….the ticket sale dates are not respected by the system. If I set the ticket sales dates out beyond the date of the event, it DOES NOT allow you to register. If I am allowed to set this date, the date should be respected by the system!!! Fixing this one thing would basically fix ALL of our remaining problems, because it would allow our staff time to register people who “just show up” for an event. They don’t have time to create registrations at the door. They fill out a form and the registration is entered the next day. We are not able to do this without creating an extra junk ticket that is beyond the date of the event. I don’t want them to have to do this every time, especially since there is a SELL UNTIL DATE in the system and that date should be respected! 🙂

Hello,

Are you using a city/region for your WP timezone settings and not a UTC option?
