How many different ticket types can you add to one event.

Also is there some idea as to when people can add an extra option to their ticket rather than creating so many different ticket types?

Hi Jonathan,

#1 There aren’t any limits to the number of tickets you can create.

#2 Are you asking for a function to add additional items (e.g. t-shirt) to the registration)? We don’t have an official system constructed yet (we’ve discussed it a lot but it will be rather involved to do correctly). You could look at the Price-modifier Addon (available in the pre-release channel) which will give your attendees an option to add items to the registration and increase the total price they pay.

Hi Jonathan,

If you down load the zip file to your computer and then go to your websites dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and then click the upload text link near the top, search for the file on your computer via the pop up box and install the plugina nd activate it.

To use the plugin please check the documentation here (it has just been published) https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-price-modifier/

THus would have been perfect, but you cannot use it when using multiple tickets.  Also is there going to be any changes to being able to pay a deposit and having the ticket show there is a balance due?

Hi,

No, it currently will not work alongside Multiple Event Registration.

I have not heard anything specific about a deposit feature. To my knowledge the tickets will never show an outstanding balance by default, however the invoice does.

There isnt a template shortcode for it, but I will add a feature request to add a shortcode that can be used in the ticketing templates to show the outstanding balance. I cannot say if or when it would be implemented though.

If you wanted something now you could replace the code in the Ticketing functions.php with this https://gist.github.com/Apina/ee08685aa1ff906b2f32 it will add two short codees [ticket_amtpaid] and [ticket_balance], which canthen be added to the ticket template file (not the ticket in the admin dashboard, they have to be added to the template file).

It’s not perfect, its meant as a guideline for the developers to look at to tweak and perfect, and will be over written on updates, but it may assist you in the short term.

so customers are able to pay a deposit rather than paying in full?  If there is ticket paid and ticket balance?

Hi Jonathan,

Event Espresso doesn’t support partial payments at this time.

No, as Josh said we dont support that. However if you had manually applied a partial payment in the admin dashboard those shortcodes would reflect that.

how can i manually apply a partial payment?

I’m not sure that this is possible, but if it were, you could manually apply a partial payment by entering a “new payment amount” in the edit attendee payment view.
