We are wanting to use EE for our Grad Reunion website and need to have multiple ticket prices. We wanted to use the free version but found out after entering all the information that multiple ticket prices is not available in the free version. What version do we need?

Hi Patrick,

Any version of Event Espresso premium (personal, business or developer) will allow you to add multiple tickets to a single event.

The main difference between the licence types is the number of addons they come bundled with and the number of sites you can use the plugin on and receive support.

Just to note, if you are planning for users to purchase multiple ticket types within a single registration. (ie 2 Adults + 1 Child) you will need the Multi Registration Add-on. This comes included with the business package or can be purchase separately and used with the Personal License.

So this is even more confusing. From what Dean is telling me, I can use the Personal version and it will allow registrants to add a guest ticket. But when I read Tony’s post he says I need to purchase the personal + a multi ticket add on. So which is it?

Hi Patrick,

Apologies, allow me to explain a little more, multiple ticket prices means different things to different users so it is actually both.

Event Espresso core allows multiple ticket prices to be applied to an event, you can choose a pricing option from these which will apply to all attendees within that registration. So you have multiple prices, but whichever price chosen applies to all attendees for that registration.

To give an example, here is Event Espresso core with Multiple Ticket prices http://d.pr/i/Id3p you can select multiple tickets but they will all be that same price.

Multi Event Registration (MER) allows the same setup as above (an event with multiple ticket prices) but now you can add an event to a ‘cart’ and select multiple ticket types for that event (using the example above this could be 2 adult tickets & 1 child ticket) so multiple ticket types/prices within one registration.

An example of using MER to purchase multiple ticket types in a single registration http://d.pr/i/jkuv after selecting the ticket types/quantity the attendee information will be requested http://d.pr/i/Tjit

Does that help?
