Is it possible to choose more than just 1 seat?

Yes. Set ‘allow group registrations’ to yes.

I did allow group registration but it dosen’t work. I only can choose one seat. If i go a second time to the pop-up where i can choose the seats, it just changes the seat number and dosen’t add a second seat.

Try clicking the additional attendee toggle:

Can I click on 5 seats without dismissing the seat selection display? How would I set that up?

Set the group registration limit accordingly. Which in this case, would be 4. 1 primary attendee + 4 additional attendees.

OK, I have the registration limit set. I also have the “Additional Attendee Registration Info” set to none. When I go to register, I can choose the number of tickets (up to the limit). But I have only chosen 1 seat. So now I have 5 tickets, but only 1 seat reserved.
I don’t want to force my customer to enter a name for every ticket. I want them to but 5, or 10 or whatever tickets, choose the seats, and pay for them. Can this be done?

It needs to be set to full registration info in order to select multiple seats with the seating chart.

Thanks for the reply. I will set it up that way, but if I can make a feature request here, this would be the flow:
1. Present the seating chart to the customer, showing available seats
2. Customer selects multiple seats, these get added to a cart
3. Customer confirms seats, and enters their name and email (as per selected question group)
4. Customer pays

I am doing this for a Theatre group, and I would guess that most theatre groups want this type of workflow.

Thanks!

Yes those are. When you save the event with a seating chart selected, and the group registration is set to yes, it should automatically reset the Additional attendee info to “Full Information required”.

I would double check the templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates to make sure there are not any older versions of templates from an older version in that directory.

Is the seating chart plugin active? I can’t read German, but it looks like maybe the menu item is missing from the Event Espresso admin menu.
