We have a non-profit for an animal rescue, we own a licensed copy, etc….. We are having so much trouble and we feel like what we want the plugin to do, it should be able to do… Basically at a high level, we need people to be able to register themselves, family members, and pets ( which we feel we have working properly ) but also be able to select t-shirt sizes on a per-registrant basis for the humans…. we feel like this plugin should be handling it, but we can’t seem to get it working properly.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

Can you link to an example where this isn’t working on your site so we can take a look?

Hi,

I started a registration with the name “ee test” but did not see any issues. What isn’t working?

Hi Lorenzo,

The option that we can’t seem to get working properly is that each registrant needs to have an option to select a t-shirt amount (for each person registered) and individual t-shirt sizes. The issue we are having is that when someone registers a family of 4 we can’t seem to get the t-shirt option set up and working the way it should. Basically we need a registrant to be able to register themselves, as well as family members … and also be able to choose a t-shirt for each person.

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

Create a dropdown question to handle this through the questions editor in the WordPress dashboard.

Then assign the question to the personal question group or a new question group and set it to required:

When an attendee tries to register, they will then be required to select an option for the shirt.

Hi Lorenzo,

We need this option to be available for each person registered. How would it be set up if one person registers for multiple people and they all need different sizes?

Set this option to require information:

It appears in the top right area of the event editor.

I have already tried what you suggested but we still run into the same issue. Let me try to re-explain the scenario. To hopefully clear everything up.

We are using event espresso to register people to our dog rescue event. We would like the following to be achievable.

1,
We would like a single user to register multiple users at checkout.

2,
We need that single user to be able to specify a unique first and last name for each user to be registered. For example. If a mother was registering her self, her husband, and their children. we need to know the first and last name for each person.

The way event espresso currently works is that it allows us to select the number of adults and the number of kids but it only allows us to put in the registration info for a single person. In this case, both kids would be registered under the same name.

3,
Each registrant needs to be able to select their own t-shirt size. ( this may be under the same category as #2 ). Currently if 2 kids were selected and we display the custom form it forces both kids to have the same t-shirt size.

4,
Each registrant must be able to select how many pets they would like to bring to the event ( for a fee ). Currently if we add the ‘pet’ as an additional price it will also require them to provide a first / lastname as well as a tshirt size. Which is not what we want for a dog.

Please let me know if this clears things up.

Hi,

Points 1 through 3 should be possible. Point 4 will need likely need some custom coding to setup as question groups are assigned on a per event basis (not by ticket).

Update the event settings in the event editor to match this:

Also, reassign the t-shirt question to the personal question group and temporarily enable it. Then browse to this page:

http://tailstothetrails.com/register-as-participant/registration-cancelled/

From here, return to the event registration page and try to purchase a variety of tickets.

Hi Lorenzo,

Thank you for your reply. We do have developers on staff that would be able to handle the custom coding, but is there any instructions that you would be able to send me so we can get this resolved?

Also, do you think the custom coding would be a quick task or will it take a handful of hours?

Thanks!

Hi, we provide assistance when examples are available for templates but we can’t write custom code for you as this is related to the core plugin.

We do have a directory of professionals here that will be able to provide you with some estimates:
