multiple registration notification email

Hi,

For a multiple registration notification email, we appear to not have any details of the cost of tickets, and the total amount for the multiple tickets.
We have managed to add the additional code for the ticket costs which is appearing for the single ticket purchases, but not for the multiple ticket purchases.

Which message template do we need to have the additional ticket cost shortcode added to please?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Can you tell me what the subject of the email you need to edit is please?

Or possibly provide a screenshot of the email so I can see exactly which email you are referring to.

Hi,

The subject of the email is ‘Event Registration Details’.

Let us know what we need to do please?

Thanks.

Hi, there is a specific message type to help with notifications for multiple registrations in a single order. Could you try enabling it through Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings?

Drag Registration Multi-status Summary to the enabled box and Event Espresso will begin to use it.

Thanks Lorenzo,

Do we then have to remove any code that we’ve added to the previous messages, as we’ve added the shortcodes to show the total ticket costs and each ticket price that has been paid for?

Can/Do we also have to add the additional shortcodes for the ticket prices and the total ticket prices for the ‘Registration Multi-Status summary’ once added?

Thanks.

Also, for the first time yesterday, we’ve received a duplicate notification email for the same ref code single ticket. Any reason why that has happened?

Thanks Lorenzo.

We are using Mijireh gateway with Payeezy (what was First Data E4).

Thanks.

Hello, we are working on a solution for the multiple notifications. Here is a workaround which will prevent those multiple notifications:

1) Please deactivate your version of Event Espresso 4 through your WordPress plugins screen in your WP dashboard

2) Click on the following link which will download a prior version of Event Espresso 4 to your computer:

https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/archive/4.8.9.p-sans-tests-tag.zip

3) Return to your WP Plugins screen and then upload and activate the version that you just downloaded

We’ll update your support post as soon as we have verified a fix and then you’ll be able to update to the current release.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Thanks Lorenzo!

We’re now running the previous version.

Can someone let us know about the original question please for the multi registration email? –

Thanks.

If you no longer want them to appear for single purchases you can remove them, otherwise they’ll need to stay within the template so you can have them for both.

Can/Do we also have to add the additional shortcodes for the ticket prices and the total ticket prices for the ‘Registration Multi-Status summary’ once added?

Yes you will need to add the shortcodes to that message template as it is a separate template to the single templates.

The fix for the multiple registration notification email is included in Event Espresso 4.8.15.p, which was released earlier today.

Hi Josh,

We are experiencing duplicate notification emails again. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Thanks.

When do you receive the duplicate email?

Is it immediately when a registration is made or within an hour?

Are you using the latest version of EE (currently 4.8.18.p)?

We have updated to 4.8.18.p.

Prior to that, the duplicate email was 56 mins after the first one.

Is it fixed in the new update?

It should have been fixed within 4.8.15.p so I just wanted to make sure you were on at least that or the latest version.

4.8.18.p contains all prior fixes so if its still happening on that version there is a different issue on your site.

With Mijireh we found that in some setups it would not correctly finalize the registration when the user returned to the site, this meant that the cron setup to check for abandoned registrations would run and those ‘complete but not complete’ registrations would trigger the emails.

We added a fix for this which prevents that from happening.

If it still happens on your registrations on the latest version can you send me temporary login details and details of which registration it happened on using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

So I can take a look within the registration and see whats happening.

We’ve managed to tracks this down to an issue that effects some users when using the WP Users integration add-on.

I can see on your site its activated but I can’t see if you use it, it seems your events are set to not require login and do not create users on registration. Is this the case for all of your events?

We are investigating the cause of this and will update the Users add-on once we have a fix.

Thanks Tony, we can deactivate the add on then for now, but we need it working for our membership to work soon.

Will the next Users add-on update include the fix?

Hello, we’ve raised the priority for the ticket so we can get this corrected. We’ll be sure to update your support post once a fix is available and this will be available as a one-click update through your WP dashboard.
