I am trying to figure out how to apply a group discount for an event ticket.
Example:
I have an event with 3 seats available. Registering one person/seat would be $60. Registering two people/seats would be $80. Registering three people and taking up all three seats would be a total price of $90.
I understand the features of price modifiers and such, however I am unsure how to apply the discount for a group of 2 or 3 and also have EE4 still accurately reflect the amount of seats available. (A group of two people paying $80 would leave one seat left / A group of three people paying $90 would leave no seats left.)
I’ve thought of creating three different ticket prices for an event depending on the size of the group. But if I chose to purchase the third ticket price ($90 for three people), how would EE4 know there are three people I am paying for? Would I still need to manually let EE4 know how many people are attending in the next step where I fill out the attendee information? Is there a way to set how many attendees a certain ticket price is for so that EE4 knows the customer needs to fill out attendee info for multiple people in the next step?
I just want to avoid a situation where someone pays $90 for a group of three, but EE4 thinks the ticket is for one person only and then shows that there are two seats left afterwards when it should really say that all three seats are taken and no more tickets are available for sale.
