I am looking to buy Event Espresso today. I am needing to see if the plugin will allow us to list multiple locations on the event calendar page? I looked at the showcase page and http://socialmediaweek.org/blog/event/social-media-week-los-angeles-press-conference/#.UE5iSaPcMg8 has the perfect setup I am needing. There is a “Change City” box to where you can choose your city, so that you can view events from that city. That is exactly what I am needing.

Hello Reginald,

It’s a great website, I am very impressed by their customisation of Event Espresso.

Out of the box, the plugin can provide the functionality for those systems, but not by the options, you would need to code something to create it or hire someone to do it for you.

I too think it is a great tool. As I am looking more into this, I the plugin: https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-pro/ . Solves this problem I am looking for this solution. Seth could you confirm, because I know you guys created this right after the the \”Social Media Week\” project.

Just wondering why none of the support staff has answered my question in over 4 days? I have left several phone messages and etc. Is this what to expect for support if I paid for the plugin?

@Reginald
I think Dean already answered your question.

Out of the box, the plugin can provide the functionality for those systems, but not by the options, you would need to code something to create it or hire someone to do it for you.

Event Espresso does not have anything out of the box that will do that for you. Social Media Week put in a significant amount of custom code into their site as well as suggesting (and making some) changes to core.

Chris,
My question was posted at September 11, 2012 at 5:59 am. That question was never answered.

My question was does this new plugin solve my problem? https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-pro/ . It was created the same time Seth worked on http://socialmediaweek.org/schedule/?locale_id= . That is exactly what I am needing. I am wanting to have a drop down box that lists different event locations. That way if I have 10-30 events in different cities/locations, then they can choose the city/location they are needing, then it only shows events for that particular city/location.

@Reginald as Chris and Dean both stated. That functionality was created by the developers at Social Media Week. The Roles & Permissions Pro addon only allows users, of different levels, to create and manage events. The addon is in no way related to the drop down that you are referring to.

I hope that answers your question.
