I am having the following issue:
– The created event has the max number of tickets per person set to 1.
– The created event has multiple event times.
(example: 3 days so that a user can either register for 1, 2 or 3 days).

My issue is:
-> the user can subscribe to only one event time. (and this is because of the max # of tickets being set to 1).
-> if i set the max # of allowed tickets per user to more than 1 then a user can buy more than one ticket for the same event time….which is not exactly what i want.

Hi there,

Is each ‘event time’ a separate datetime?

If so you can create additional tickets and assign them to specific datetimes in the event. So you’d create a Ticket assigned to Datetime 1, another for Datetime 2 and another for Datetime 3, then additonal tickets assigned to Datetime 1 + 2, 1 + 3 and 2 + 3.

The user then selects the single specific ticket the want with is assigned to the datetimes they want.

Another method to handle this if you don’t need limits on each event time is to use a custom question on the registration form and ask the attendee which time they want to book onto.

Hi Tony, i have also thought of the the different tickets solution but wanting to have the section a bit more clean i would have liked to have a checkbox for each event time.
For the moment if max tickets allowed is one i get a radio button for each event time. Is there anyway of changing the dropdown list (when max allowed tickets > 1 ) to checkbox.

Not currently, you could use some jQuery to convert the dropdown to a checkbox, or hide the dropdown, add a checkbox and then set the value of the select to 1 if the checkbox is checked.

You can set the max number of tickets to greater than 1 and then set the max qty for each individual ticket to 1 by clicking on the cog – http://take.ms/ioyxd

That will limit the dropdown to only allow 1 of that specific ticket to be purchased.
