We recently updated to the latest version of EE3 and WordPress 4.2.2 and we have a bug. Now whenever we go to add a new event, over 30 event times show by default. How do we go back to just one default event time? It’s very time consuming to delete 30+ event times for each event we add so we need to have this back to normal ASAP. Please advise on how to do so.

Thanks!

Hi there,

It turns out the extra event times you are seeing are remnants of unsaved events in your database. The unsaved events were caused by not updating to the current version of Event Espresso 3 until after updating to one of the later WP security releases.

We can go in and remove those extra datetimes if you’d like. If that works out for you, please completely fill out the form on this page.

If you prefer to remove extra start times yourself, you can remove them by going into phpmyadmin. They are in the wp_events_start_end table. All rows that have 0 for event_id should be removed. The same will also be true for any rows in wp_events_prices wp_events_category_rel too. Any rows that have 0 for event_id should be removed there too.

I went into phpmyadmin and could not find any events with 0 for an event_id in any of the tables you listed. I have used the login details to send you the database login info so you can take a look as well…

Thanks!

Hi there,

The database log in you sent is for a database that’s for an older version of the site (looks like this database was for a version of the site that was last updated in 2013). That’s likely why you could not find them.

Can you log in to the current database and check there?

Eek… I thought I had moved the database, but I guess I didn’t… Yes, now that I’m in the right databse, I have found the zeros and removed them, and everything is working great again.

Thanks so much!
