Multiple Event Reminders

The system keeps sending reminders for the same event. Over 6 have gone now. Usually we send 1 the day before, but this has sent several yesterday and several today.

Did this happen on Specific event or on your all active event? Did it also happen to all registered user or just specific user? Was it sent successfully or there was error message on them? Can you also tell us what message did they recieve.

It was a specific event. All users. The upcoming event notifications was sent every couple hours for 24 hours. No error message.

Hi,

Can you please go to EE > Messages > Automated Upcoming Event Notification > Edit the Registrant and check the “Scheduling Settings” and let us know what the value is showing in there?

If it is set to 1 and still facing issues can you please link us to the event so we can check that?

It hasn’t happened again. Unfortunately, it happened to the event that I had the most amount of people RSVPed to.

Good to hear that it didn’t happen again, at the same time, sorry to hear it happen to your important event.

Do you remember any changes you made for your site notification to work? any theme or plugin update? Did you uninstall any plugin? how about WP update and php?

If we could only get error message/log, we will be able to catch the cause of it. For now, please observe it again, if you experience the problem report it to us and we will do some testing.

It looks like it’s sending another reminder email within 24 hours every time someone else signs up for the event. But it’s sending it to everyone who is signed up for the event.
