I’ve been noticing that when users sign up/pay for several events at one time, only the record (data) for the first event they select is available to view from the attendee list details. This is causing HUGE problems because one of the events has mandatory questions with it and now I can’t see (or more importantly export) those answers to paper for the event day. My case in point is as follows: I have people sign up for a Women’s Day (event #1) and they are asked what T-SHIRT SIZE they would like (among other things). They can also pay for rental equipment (which I made event #2). If they select the rental equipment (event #2) first in their shopping cart then add the Women’s Day (event #1) – all I see in the attendee list is the registration details for the rental equipment (event #2) and not any of the questions asked in event #1. I know the data (T-SHIRT SIZE) must be there somewhere, I just can’t see it in the attendee list details or even when I the export data to excel. Is there another way to access the data…maybe through a database viewer or something? |
Hi Shannon, Thanks for the detailed report. I’ve set up a set of test events similar to what you’ve reported, and while I can’t quite reproduce the same results, I may be able to help point you in the direction on where to find the T-shirt info. If you click on the Attendee report in the admin, they will have a primary and a secondary record. If they add the event to the cart that has the t-shirt second, that will show up as a secondary record. On the primary report, there is a link you can click over on the right side that will take you to the secondary report that will have the registration info for that record. The excel reports should include this info though, at least that’s what I’m finding. When you look at the attendee reports that get opened in excel, are the question columns there but blank or missing the columns altogether? Most hosting companies will have set up phpmyadmin, which will let you view the database. There are also plugins like adminer that will do the same thing. The database table that stores the answers to questions (like a t-shirt size) is the wp_events_answer table. |

Interesting. I did notice the 2 reports (primary & secondary) with a distinct ID number…but no matter which link I click on, it takes me to the primary report only. Very strange. |

I just tried to manually type in the page address for the secondary record…but it still gets re-directed to the primary record! Weird. |
I have noticed the same thing with multi-attendee registrations. It’s somewhat of a known issue and is largely the reason why attendees, registrations, and payments are being split into three distinct and separate entities in Event Espresso 3.2. There really isn’t a workaround or a fix available for this at this time. |
