I believe I have activated the MER for the mulitple events by moving over the relevant templates. However, when I move over the ‘event list, and event_list_display’ files, it gives me the functionality, but it throws out the CSS.

Can view to see what I need to do to get it right, I’ve followed the CSS dropdown option, then EE recurring templates?

Hi,

The templates must not have been copied over correctly as the CSS for the recurring templates is still in your style sheet, but the template is not showing the class, thus it’s the wrong template.

However the special recurring event templates do not work with MER out of the box you would have to modify them.

Hi Dean,

Please can you take another look, I have now moved the 2 event list files over. What is wrong with it now?

Thanks.

Hi,

Now it seems you have the right templates, but the css is missing!

Add this to the themes style.css or via a plugin such as My Custom CSS

/*
The following piece of code needs to be added to your themes CSS file.
*/

.subpage_excerpt .date_picker{
	display: none;
}

Hmmm seems the links arent working correctly either, did you modify the template in some way?

Thanks for the quick response.

I’ve just previously removed that CSS code from the main theme style.css as didnt do anything, I shall add it back again.
The links for?
I did start using the css drop down option – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/drop-down-list-recurring-events/

Then I found the correct MER reoccurring templates thread.
I’ll add the CSS back as suggested, still think something else is wrong though.

Honestly, no.

Is there any way I can get ftp access or that you can share the template code, as I need to see what you are using and compare it against my files. I will not be able to look at it until tomorrow my time, though another member of staff may be able to assist.

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Hi Dean,
Following some updates today, this is the page that I need to group the multiple events – http://www.fortedmontontickets.com/events/
Can you explain what needs to be done please?

Thanks.

Hi,

My recommendation would be to use the templates and css found in the Recurring Event Manager plugin under recurring-events-templates. Add the templates to your uploads/espresso/templates directory and the css to the style.css file

2 things. Depending on your Event Espresso version the templates may not work as intended, I have emailed you a copy of the most up to date templates but please not these are still Beta versions.

Secondly, these templates are not compatible with Multiple Event Registration add on, so they would need to be modified to have the add to cart function.

Thanks Dean,I’ve added the files from the Recurring Event Manager plugin, and that didn’t change anything. I then tried the beta files, and that basically grouped all events by date order, but still had the whole list of every single event.
Will this be resolved in V4.0? When will that be ready?

Any other ideas to get it working before 4.0. My clients version is the latest – 3.1.31.3.P

Thanks.

Hi,

Did you add in the css as well?

It will not be resolved as such in 4.0, as far as I am aware it will still list recurring events individually without an additional template. However Recurring Events Manager has yet to be updated to work with 4.0 and wont be ready event after 4.0 Arabica “de-caffineited” is released. We are looking to have 4.0 out of Beta by June approx.

Thanks Dean,

No, I missed that CSS, (Doh!), however, it still hasn’t grouped them as you suggested, which leads to me to think that it had kind of worked. I have tried CSS dropdown following your instructions, and I had it working before, despite the CSS being thrown about.

I guess if we can have the 1 event, with a choice of dropdown event dates, that would be great, is this possible now pre 4.0?

Thanks

Ben

Hi,

No the dropdown isnt possible except via these templates.

I would like to see the set up if possible.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level + need FTP details
