Hello! Yesterday, I downloaded the Multiple Event Registration plugin, and activated on my WordPress site. But, I can’t figure out why the “Add To Cart” button does not show on an event page. Currently, the event page shows details and registration form. How do I get this to work? The directions say to activate the plugin and it will automatically work. But clearly I am doing something wrong. 😉 Please help! Thanks in advance! http://mojoformamas.com/calendar/

Hi Jackie,

I checked the page that lists the events and the add to cart links are displaying there:

http://mojoformamas.com/event-registration/

It turns out this is the page where the Multi Event Registration adds the cart links.

As an aside, it looks like the recaptcha option has been turned on in Event Espresso>General Settings, but no API keys have been entered. So if you’re logged out of the site there are errors displaying on the page where you register for an events. You can fix this by either disabling the recaptcha option, or getting the API keys at the following address and entering the keys in Event Espresso>General Settings.

Thanks, Josh! I would like clients to be able to choose to register for one workshop or multiple workshops. I think that most clients will either find the workshops using the sidebar widget or by clicking through on the calendar. Is there a way to give them a choice when they go to the event details page? They could choose either a) “Register for this Workshop”- which would then take them to the an event registration page instead of the registration form being on that main detail page OR b) “register for Multiple Workshops” that could then take them to http://mojoformamas.com/event-registration/

I guess the heart of the question is if there is a setting that would make the registration form live on it’s own page rather than being combined with the single event?

There is a way to set this up where all the registrations go through the cart instead of on a single event page. We have a support document that outlines how to set it up this way:

Thanks so much, Josh! You have been so helpful! I am really impressed with the EE customer service!

That worked great! My event detail pages are working well and look great http://mojoformamas.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=29 and I have styled my registration page that has a list of all of my events. http://mojoformamas.com/event-registration/

Last question that I can think of for now… is there a way to get the event description to show on this page? http://mojoformamas.com/event-registration/

Yep, that’s in Event Espresso>Templates Settings. You’ll set the first option there to yes.

You rock! As soon as I checked that, the template loads without the theme frame. Do I need to refresh something?

There are themeroller settings on that same page, it may be that they got toggled off when you updated the Template settings. Can you check?

Hi Josh! I wasn’t using themeroller styles before because I didn’t want any additional styling other than what I added. So, now I have toggled themeroller on and chose a style and it’s still messed up. The events are not displaying within the postloop. If you scroll to the bottom, you can see my template.

Okay I see what’s happening now.

You’ll need to turn the themeroller option off, and remove the pre tags that are wrapped around the add to cart shortcodes. You’ll need to go into text mode in the editor to see those pre tags.

Also, the event for Feb 23 appears to not be open for registration yet, so it should not get an add to cart shortcode yet.
