We are running events at three separate venues. When I create new events they all post to the same registration page. Is there a way to break them out to separate registration pages by event so it is easier to identify the event locations ?

Example: running one workshop in three different venues. First event created is for the Milwaukee, WI venue, second event created is for Elmhurst, IL venue and third event is created for St Charles, IL venue. All three events are stacked on top of each other on one registration page and it is not obvious that the user has t scroll down to find the venue of their choice.

Additionally, we re scheduling eight events and the sidebar shows only six of the eight. The difficulty of the user having to scroll to find their event (which isn’t an obvious break from event to event) and the abbreviated list in the sidebar is a little frustrating. Please tell me there is an easy solution I’m overlooking!

Thank you for your hep!

Hello

There are a few ways you can do this depending on exactly what you want.

1) use the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode and categories. Create the appropriate categories and assign them to the events. Create a new page (normal WP page) and add in the shortcode several times with the category parameter. You can also add extra text like titles

e.g.

Milwauke
[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier]

Elmhurst
[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier]

etc.

You can even have them on separate pages if you wish.

2) A similar process but using the [ESPRESSO_VENUE_EVENTS] shortcode. This may be better as it doesnt require using categories, and bases it purely off the venues.

Remember you will need to hide the standard registration page (default is event-registration) from your navigation so people are directed towards the correctly formatted pages.

Widget (sidebar) wise, if you go to Appearance > Widgets and have a look at the Event Espresso Upcoming Events Widget settings, you will see there is a limit option, you can add a number here to set how many events are shown.
