I am a developer (but no previous experience w/ EE) and I am facing the following scenario:
- I have one event.
- I have 5 managers and one overall administrator.
- Each of my registrants needs to be associated with a manager when they buy their ticket.
- The managers will control their own (and only their own) registrants.
- The admin will need to have control of all registrants.
What is most painless way to accomplish this?
I am making use of the EE 4 capabilities system (see EE 4 Roles and Permissions), but the problem is that control isn’t granular enough, unless I actually make 5 separate events and set each of my 5 admins up as the event owners. That should work, but it ain’t pretty.
I’m not afraid to start coding away, but I don’t want to re-invent the wheel and I have a gut feeling this can be done without mods.
Any ideas from guys who have worked with EE before?
