Hi there

I have searched the forum, and haven’t quite found what I was looking for, although I might be close

(related topics:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/multiple-ticket-order-but-only-1-choice/

https://eventespresso.com/topic/multiple-concurrent-sessions/)

In early April, we have an event that will take place on Friday and Saturday. The times available for each day are 8am-10am, 11am-1pm, and 2pm-4pm. Also, each day, you have the choice between Room 1 or Room 2 with those same times available in each. You can only choose one Room each day. You must select the alternative Room for the next day. (You cannot choose Room 1 for both days.)

For example, if you select Friday 8am-10am in Room 1, you cannot select any other time or room for that day. For Saturday, you must select (1) ticket for Room 2, for one of the 3 datetimes.

To break it down, this is what it looks like:

Friday
Room 1, 8-10am
Room 1, 11a-1pm
Room 1, 2-4pm

Room 2, 8-10am
Room 2, 11a-1pm
Room 2, 2-4pm

(^ Only select 1 option)

Saturday
Room 1, 8-10am
Room 1, 11a-1pm
Room 1, 2-4pm

Room 2, 8-10am
Room 2, 11a-1pm
Room 2, 2-4pm

(^ Only select 1 option for the alternative Room)

What is the best way to make this work? Also, Is there a way that when you select 1 room for 1 time, that the other room and times will “fade out” or become inactive?

I’d be happy to share the page of the event that I’ve been working on.

Please advise, and thank you in advance!

Hi there,

We don’t currently have anything like this within Event Espresso so to do what you are looking for above you would need some custom development, likely using some jQuery to disable ticket options based on the selection is the simplest method for this.

Currently, the only way you can do this within EE itself (without custom code) is using separate ticket options for each selection but for what you are looking for that’s going to end up fairly complex for the user to follow along with.

Can you post the event link so I can take a look at the setup and see if anything stands out?
