Hi all,

I’m having a read headache with a new setup, it is vital that people be able to buy tickets in both Dollars and Pounds. I am aware that natively this is not an option but has anyone tried running two versions of EE at the same time? Or has anyone else some up with a working remedy.

I happy to pay for another licence if it fixes the issue.

Hi Peter,

You can accept payments in either Dollars or Pounds when you choose a Payment gateway that accepts both. You input prices in EE in your currency, then the gateway will automatically convert funds when international customers pay in their currency.

Hi Josh, when you say “The gateway” which one are you reffering too? We are using Mirijah and there is no such feature?

Is there any sign of multiple currencies as a native feature for EE?
Thanks

Hi Peter,

Take PayPal as an example. You can purchase an event in $ but pay at PayPal in £ or € and PayPal will convert the amount to the correct value, e.g. a $100 event would convert to roughly €90 at this moment in time.

Depending on the gateway you choose via Mijireh (as Mijireh itself is not a gateway) it may be able to take multiple currencies or not, you need to check with the gateway itself.

Multiple currencies has been in discussion for a while, and it will likely stay in discussion for a while as it is, to put it mildly, a complex feature.
