1) We have been using the displayed registration timer code in our child theme’s function.php file for years. It looks like it recently stopped working. Did anything change with the core code to block this from working? 2) We brought up an issue weeks ago about promo code and discount information being missing in on the transaction page. It was confirmed to be a bug. Has this been fixed yet? 3) We brought up an issue years ago about the lack of support for 3 decimal state taxes. Are there any plans to fix this huge shortcoming? Thanks! |

Do you see any error on the log? if there’s possible conflict or anything? By the way, on the latest release we do have Session Countdown Timer. You can enable that by going to your EE admin -> Registration Form -> Reg Form Setting -> Session Timer
I did test the issue on our latest version and all good, https://monosnap.com/file/YOHsRoR029ifZLi5EJBebSgcDZnHYP
If you go on EE admin -> General Setting -> Countries -> Decimal Places You can set the decimal places on your currency, and on the percentage, just it in the price calculator https://monosnap.com/file/zox5kJggUf2JBtjfeJqYcunXnLazZZ Let me know if that’s what you’re looking for. thanks |

1) I guess the default for this new feature is off which then disables the old addon code. Seems to be ok when it is turned on. 2) Are you testing an internal build or the latest public version? I still do not see this in the version I have. 3) If I change this setting to 3 decimals, will it change the formatting of all the US dollar prices everywhere to 3 decimal places? That was the previous suggested solution which is NOT a solution. All displayed prices should be in 2 decimal places, but you should be able to enter a state’s 3 decimal sales tax. |

I’m using the Live version. .20, Have you made a test on your site? it didn’t work? can i look on it? please fill form here. https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/
I was able to enter 3 Decimal sales tax in the price calculator. Maybe we’re missing something here? can you shoot a video for us? you can use loom to do it. I will be also using this to recommend to our developer. https://loom.com/ thanks |
|
2) .20 refers to the core code. What version of the “Promotions and Discount Codes” plugin are you running? I’m using 1.0.17.p and I don’t see what you are seeing. If I click on the “View Invoice” button, I can see the discount in the PDF, but it is no longer showing on the transaction page. If it helps, I can see the “Recalculate Taxes and Total” and “View Invoice” buttons, but I do not see the “Send Payment Reminder” and “View Receipt” buttons from your screen cap. These tickets have been paid for, so missing the “Send Payment Reminder” button makes sense, but why am I seeing the invoice button instead of the receipt button? Either way, I am not authorized to share access to this site, but I can confirm that the issue is not fixed. 3) If you change the “currency decimal places” setting to 3, you can probably add a 3 decimal place tax rate, but then all of the prices on the site will look something like $129.473. That will be terribly confusing for users. I can’t seem to find my original post on this, but found another one that dates back to 2019… still no fix. |

2. Yes, I used the same version as you have. If we could make test on your site, it would be great. or if we can clone it so we can do more in-depth testing.
You can set the decimal to two, but on the calculator, you can use a 3 digit percentage. Is that what you wanted? For your request on number 3, kindly create video for us so we can submit it to our developers for review and recommendation. you can use loom to record what you wanted to happen that the current system do not offer. thanks |

2) I brought this issue up on April 27th. https://eventespresso.com/topic/promo-codes-6/. It was suggested that I downgrade. That did not fix the problem. Tony then confirmed that he was able to recreate the issue and created tickets to fix it. It doesn’t look like the promotions plugin has received an update since then. Can you look in this ticket and let me know what was broken (the core?) and what got fixed? 3) It appears that this might have gotten quietly fixed at some point. A state sales tax of 6.625% used to get saved as 6.62% and it would undercharge on taxes. It would be REALLY nice to be notified when a submitted bug is fixed. |
|
2. I’m using Version 5.0.20.p and it is the same version you’re using for your site. In trying to replicate the issue, we’re using the same WP, php, EE version and plugin that the customer used. We’re waiting for you to replicate and record the issue, or share your log-in to us and we can do test on your site. If you can us stagging, that would be fantastic. If not, we will test on your live site, or we will just clone and do the test locally. 3. Ideally, those who did report the problem would have updated that the bug is fixed. but in any case we missed that, you can also review the changelog in your install or here. thanks |

I’m going to repeat my last question again since it was not answered. I brought this issue up on April 27th. https://eventespresso.com/topic/promo-codes-6/. It was suggested that I downgrade. That did not fix the problem. Tony then CONFIRMED in that thread that he was able to recreate the issue and created tickets to fix it. It doesn’t look like the promotions plugin has received an update since then. Can you look in the ticket that he created and let me know 1) what was fixed (the core or a plugin) and 2) what version it was fixed in? |
|
Hi there, That issue was fixed within Event Espresso core itself and was included in version 5.0.20.p. My apologies for not updating you original thread when the update was pushed. If you run into issues with 5.0.20.p just let me know. |
|
Sorry, this is definitely not fully fixed in 5.0.20.p. We just finished running a promo code. The used promo codes are still not shown on the transaction page, but they are shown on the invoice PDF. |
|
I really wish you guys had a support ticketing system so that concerns like this wouldn’t get lost. |
|
Tony, do you think the issue we are still experiencing with this could be a similar issue to the Square token issue where the older install wasn’t properly upgraded over time with newer versions? We had someone use a promo code today, and there is still no mention of the discount on the transaction page, but it is displayed on the invoice. |
|
Following up on this bug… again. I just created a brand new test site. Nothing installed except for EE and the promotions plugin. I created an event using the legacy editor and a 15% off coupon. I registered for the event. There is no sign of the promotion code usage on the transaction page, but it shows on the invoice pdf and receipt. I also tried saving the event with the advanced editor. Same results on a second registration. |

Have you tried checking other payment method if the Discount code shows up in the EE Registration and on the invoice. Can we do test purchase on your site and try to recreate the issue? thanks |
|
Same results when I pay with an invoice. Discount shows on pdf and receipt, but it does not show up on its own line on the transaction page like it does in your original screen cap (and they way it used to show up on our site before an update killed it). Again, this is tested on a clean new site with only EE, EE-promotions and the EE-square plugins installed. It should be very easy to recreate on your side. |
|
I did try Paypal commerce and Invoice method and everything is fine on my end. I can see promotion added on my invoice and on the EE dashboard -> registrations. I will also test it with square PM and see what will happen. You mention that it is new site, so i assumed, the theme has no custom code too? Can i clone your site and test it locally? Please fill this form. thanks |
|
Default theme. No modifications. I shared the login details for the test site 4 posts back. No need to clone it, you can test it right there. |
|
While doping some test. I did encounter problem in Re-uploading the EE plugin. I got 408 issue. is there also a way we can access the FTP so we can enable the debugging. May we also know if Caching is enabled to your site? can you check your hosting regarding this. Another Reason of cloning the site and testing it locally, is to check the possibility that this is because of the server. If it works on my end and not on that server, there’s something wrong. We will try to narrow down the problem. thanks again. |

ok, So upon enabling the troubleshooting. by following the guide here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/ i added a block in wp-config
then this error shows up.
this error, is the same with this one. https://eventespresso.com/topic/warning-when-i-activate-the-event-espresso-plugin/ kindly connect with your your host and ask them.to investigate this further. Add the above error to the ticket and they should be able to update the server/PHP config to fix this for you. thanks |
