Multiple Categories Question

Hi,

I started out offering a single class in a 3 different geographic locations. For this I created 3 categories. As of today, I’m adding in new classes (2-4 classes) in all 3 regions. How should I segment these out so I can use the grid view to make it easy for everyone to find the different classes?

Any ideas are appreciated…

TIA!
Joe

Hi Joseph, the grid view template uses event categories but does not support using multiple categories at once. Could you use a shortcode for the grid view template multiple times on a WordPress page to accomplish this?

Here is an example:

Heading – Events in Location A

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-sluga”]

Heading – Events in Location B

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-slugb”]

Heading – Events in Location C

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-slugc”]

You could then go a step further by adding CSS IDs to each heading on the page. Then you could create quick links (http://www.hypergurl.com/anchors.html) towards the top of the page and if a registrant clicks on one, then they’ll be brought directly there.

Browse by events:

Location A | Location B | Location C

Heading – Events in Location A

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-sluga”]

Heading – Events in Location B

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-slugb”]

Heading – Events in Location C

[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE category_slug=”your-event-category-slugc”]
