We are looking at moving from WPEngine to a dedicated server and the current site is over 1.92GB in size and I’m sure we can delete old completed events from the past few years as well as the attendees.
Also wondering if there are other ideas/suggestions to clearing up the DB for migration?

Hi Bob,
Most of that backup may be media like images that are stored in the WP Media library since the website was created.
Event information along with attendees are stored as text in the DB so it would not take up much space as compared to media like images.
Try this out on your staging site:
