We have at least two arrays of Event Espresso Plugins, with licenses, and need to move them to a WordPress Multisite. I’ve searched through the documents and forums for a couple hours and cannot find the answer to my main quiestions;
What Event Espresso plugins work in a WordPress multisite and which do not?
Can I have two different, unrelated sites within a multisite, using one instance of each plugin (each having their own paid license for each plugin), or do I need to rename the plugins to have a seperate plugin for each site?
WordPress Multisites have become very popular. Does Event Espresso plan to come up with documents for Event Espresso licensed plugin installation in a WordPress multisite?
There is no definitive answer to this, we currently do not formally support Multisite installations, so we dont test on them.
However, most people using Event Espresso on a multisite, dont seem to have any issues with addons that I’m aware of.
One major issue though is that the plugin/s CANNOT be network activated, that will just break things.
Also, we only offer support and one click updates on a site/subsite with a licence, so you may end up having to manually update a lot of sites depending on your network size.
Whilst in the future we may look to make the plugin more multisite friendly, it is not currently on our agenda to do so.
Dean, thank you for your quick response. We are renewing our licenses soon and it sounds like we should be OK. I will be sure to post any helpful information that has not already been posted.
Thanks again.
