We would like to be able to move delegates (who quality for a discount) to a different course. We are able to move them to the new course but are unable to transfer the discount. We are also able to readd the discount to their new booking? What are we doing wrong or is there a workaround?

Hi Porter,
Apologies for the delayed reply, the issue mentioned in this needed some investigation and then some debate on the best way forward to fix.
We are currently discussing adding an option to attendee mover that will allow you to select if promotions should be applied when an registration is moved as some users may not actually want that to happen. However, that’s going to require a couple of additional changes throughout EE to allow us to hook in add the option with the promotions add-on.
So… in the meantime, I spent some time looking into manually re-adding a promotion through the frontend as a workaround and found a bug that is preventing you from doing so. That bug has now been fixed in the promotions add-on and is currently under review/testing to confirm it works as expected and if no issues are found we’ll likely push that live on Monday.
The above would mean you could move a registration, then using the ‘Make a fronend payment’ link on the transaction to open that registrations payment options on the front end (like the user would see) and add the promotion code in there. You can then send a payment reminder email to the user in question fro them to complete.
