I have an upcoming event. Prior to setting up the event, we had a database of attendees from another system, so we created a fake event called “Past Attendees” with a zero value ticket and imported the list as registrants, so that we would have their data on file in the system. What I am trying to do is go into the “Past Attendees” Event and move an attendee using the Attendee Mover plugin to the new current paid event ticket. When I try to do this, I am able to go through all the steps to the end but with the default setting of “pending payment” the registration does not appear in the list of registrants for the new event. If I set it to “approved” it shows up in the registrants, and it shows payment due, but there is no transaction record or way to pay except for offline with the “apply payment” option. I would like the user to be able to move the attendee from “Past Attendees” event, then have that create a registrant and a transaction record, and then use the “Pay of Front End” button to be able to complete the transaction. Is it possible to move an attendee to a new event and ticket and pay for their new ticket? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way for the move to generate a transaction record? I’m not sure if I’m asking the correct questions here. |

Hi there, What you are walking through above, should work. In summary, you created a ‘Past attendee’ event. Imported rgsitrations onto that event. Now want to move registrants from that ‘Past Attendee’ event to a ‘Current Attendee’ event (I’m just using Current Attendee to highlight a different event) onto a paid ticket. Then have the user pay for that new registration. Thats a use case the Attendee mover add-on should cover, it should move the registration (it technically cancels the original registration and creates a new one, updating the transaction to suit) and then allow payment for that ‘new’ registration. Do you mind if I take a quick look over this setup? I’d like to copy the setup locally to see what is going wrong. If that’s ok just send temp login details over using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ With some details of the events I need to look at so I know what to reproduce locally. |

Sending you the information now. Thank you! |

Hi there, Just noting here for any above readers that the attendee mover was indeed working as expected for this situation, however, when the attendee mover is used it keeps the current EE_Transaction which meas the Transaction Date remains the same. In this case that mean that searching through the transaction list for a recent ‘moved’ registration was actually many pages pack when combined with the current registrations. The reason for using the transaction list was to find the front end payment link so a snippet to add a button to the ‘Edit Transaction’ page with that URL was added to the site to help with this. |
