Hello, It seems several tickets are over sold. For instance we will have 4 tickets for sale but 6 are sold. We are noticing this behavior on Randomn tickets. Do you know why this could be? |

Did you set the date time registration limit or the Ticket Qty limit only? Which version of Event Espresso are you using? |

Hi Josh, I have 8 set as ‘Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event’ In additional for each ticket time I have sell start and sell until. Sell until is set for March 2017 so plenty of time remaining but it seems few tickets here and there are oversold. Ex: I have 10 tickets avail but 12 sold. Please help Event Espresso 4.9.24.p Thanks |

The maximum number of tickets allowed per order setting is only going to limit tickets per order. That setting does not set a limit to the total number of tickets that can be sold for the event. You’ll need to set a date time registration limit under the “Datetimes” section of the event editor to set a limit of 10 tickets for an event. |

Hi Josh, Sorry forgot to mention I do have Qty set under ‘Available Tickets”. As you can see in this case 7 were sold instead of just 4 Let me know what could be wrong. Thanks |

Do you have anything set for the Datetime reg limit? If you have more than one ticket type, the QTY fields for tickets alone will not set a limit for the event. Here’s a screenshot that highlights the date time reg field, that’s the field where you set the limit. |

So in this case, I would add up all the Qty field and put that in the Datetime Reg Limit? Now if i add more tickets or open up more slots, I would update the Limit to the new total? |

No actually you set the date time reg limit to the actual capacity of the venue. |
