Moneris Payment Gateway Question and Blank Thank You Page

I was able to activate my Moneris payment gateway and the transactions do go through fully. However, is there anyway to have the payment shown as completed under the attendees list? At this point, I’m going through and manually adjusting the payment amounts on each attendee. It wasn’t this way when I used Paypal as the payment gateway so I’m wondering if there is a bug with just the Moneris IPN.

Also, my Thank You page after registration is complete is blank. My Moneris account does redirect people to this page after Payment is accepted but is there anyway to get the completed transaction details to show?

And one more small error for you to note. When I was entering my Moneris IPN details, the text prompts you to enter “Moneris Hosted Pay Page Store ID (ps_store_id)” with the following description:

Provided by Moneris Solutions – Hosted Paypage Configuration Tool. Identifies the configuration for the Hosted Paypage ( something like: monca12345 ).

“monca12345” is completely wrong. The ps_store_id is found on the Hosted Paypage tool. Moneris assigns a StoreID (the monca #) which you need to sign into your Moneris online portal but the ps_store_id value is completely different

Hi Wendy, could you double-check your configuration settings for Moneris?

Thanks for providing that link. I was able to solve my issues with the payment notifications and receipt issuance. My point on the incorrect info regarding what is listed as ps_store_id remains valid. Fixing it may help eliminate some confusion for those that aren’t used to using the Moneris merchant portal.

That is great news Wendy! Could you clarify on the changes so we can get that updated?

Here is a screenshot of the payment methods area for Moneris:

Should the monca12345 example be removed and then add some steps for locating the actual ps_store_id?

Thanks in advance. I’ll then get those updated in the core plugin and adjust our documentation.

The Monca reference should be removed. Suggest changing the wording to: Moneris Hosted Pay Page Store ID (ps_store_id): Found on the Moneris Eselect Plus Merchant Resource Centre, under Admin –> Hosted Config.

This is a lot clearer than the current instructions. Under the HPP_Key insturctions, suggest also changing the wording to Moneris Hosted Pay Page Key (hpp_key): Found on the Moneris Eselect Plus Merchant Resource Centre, under Admin –> Hosted Config.

If someone can get to the Hosted Config page, ps_store_id and hpp_key info is the first thing they see. This Shouldn’t need more explanation. I’ve put a screenshot . The only other thing that I think would be helpful is if you were able to refer them to document you referenced above on how to configure their Hosted Pay Page on the Moneris Merchant portal.

I also uploaded a screenshot of what the Moneris Hosted Pay Page looks like at redacted – Event Espresso support team – LOC. The ps_store_id and the hpp_key info should be obvious if someone can get there.

Thanks for clarifying and sharing that screenshot (now visible to the Event Espresso team only). We’ll get this updated for the next release of Event Espresso 3.

Cool. I had actually photoshopped the screenshots of the Moneris page so that my HPP_Key and Ps_store_id were changed to dummy values.

The one other question is if there is any way to get rid of the 3 inches of space between my listing of Payment option and the actual button to take people to the Moneris gateway. I changed the default Moneris button to something clearer. But the 3 inches of space mean that someone on a laptop can’t see the Payment button for the Moneris gateway on first glance. I’ve had two registrants contact me about this, thinking that their browser didn’t load the payment gateway.

I split this post since that was a new question.
