Been waiting for such an app! However, I can’t see a way to alphabetize the attendee list for an event (makes it easier for my volunteers to handle). Also, I tested the May 19 event and 24 people signed up but only 16 are registered on the website (refreshed several times but no change even after deleting one on the website as a test). Some people are even showing up multiple times. Any thoughts?

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. I’ve registered your suggestion for adding attendee list sorting and we will keep it in mind for future features and updates!

When you look at the attendee list for the May 19 event, are you viewing the Approved registrations only, or the combination of Pending Payment and Approved? For example, if there are any Pending Payment registrations, they aren’t counted as one of the 16 Approved registrations.

Josh:
Thanks for getting back to me. On the iPad screen, I can’t find an option to show only Approved registrations. And, I discovered that the individual ticket info that shows up on the right hand side of the screen has an incorrect event time. I understand that Pending and Abandoned registrations shouldn’t show up but they do. And, folks are showing up that aren’t even registered for this event! Thoughts?

It turns out that Registrations that are Pending Payment and Abandoned should show up in the app. When you view the details though, you’ll note that there is no Payment Type recorded, and next to the price of the ticket, if it doesn’t say $0, that means they haven’t paid.

The incorrect event times can happen if there’s another plugin that offsets the timezones.

Thanks for the info on the “detail” section. That helps. But, it still doesn’t explain why folks who aren’t even registered for this event are showing up and folks who have been completely removed from the registration database still show up. For this event, all pending, abandoned and duplicates have been completely eliminated from the registration list on the website. So, I don’t understand why any of them would show up on the app (or folks who aren’t even registered for this event).

Interesting. Can you check to see if there are any registrations in the Trash list?

Yes, there are 8 listed in the Trash section and those are some of the names that show up anyway. Is there something I should turn off or on so that the “trashed” registrations don’t show up on the app?

Currently trashed registrations show up in the app. There was a request put in to the app developer to update the app so it doesn’t include trashed registrations.

Here’s another thing I ran into. I tried to set up one of my volunteers as a user but there didn’t seem to be a way to do that without setting them up with full access to the website. I certainly don’t want volunteers being set up as full administrators just to use this app. We use s2Member and have set up various roles for different members. They can access our website but only for certain segments. However, none of the test users I set up worked for the app.

So, at this point, this app really doesn’t work. Lists are not clean nor alphabetized. Volunteers can’t access it. You might want to check out EventBrite’s Neon (although I’ve never used it for volunteers – only I access it).

You can set up the volunteer’s accounts to have Event Espresso capabilities and they’ll be able to use the app. At a minimum they’ll need:

ee_read_registrations
ee_read_others_registrations

There is some information on how to add specific capabilities to specific user roles and accounts in this guide:
