Comparing our paypal records with the database and found someone who has clearly gone through registration, paid for an event, but is nowhere to be found in the attendee list. Just happened today. Thoughts? Here’s my system information: Versions Event Espresso version 3.1.30.7P WordPress version WP 3.5.1 Installed plugins moderated

The attendee is written to the DB long before they are sent off to Paypal. So if they made it to Paypal, then they should be in the DB. Maybe they used a different email address for paypal then the one they gave to you. |

Hi Sidney, Thanks for the quick response. I do think something is fishy, but I hope I am wrong. When a person pays through paypal, the line item (in paypal records) always includes the event and attendee’s name. Of course that may be different from the name of the person who pays. But in this case, the attendee in the line item in paypal should be in the database and is not. Cheers, |
Hi Sean, When you check the admin emails, did you get a registration notification sent to the admin for this attendee? |
Thanks Josh — it was before we had the whole IPN SSL CA thing resolved so it may be that no email was sent. Where do I config those admin emails BTW? |
Hi guys, me too have the same problem & we did receive the email about the registration but we fail to locate the registrant’s detail in the database. Any clue what is going on? |
@Aladin – admin emails cannot currently be edited in the options, you would need to manually edit a core file, which of course we do not recommend. If you still wish to do so, then it is the event-espresso/includes/functions/email.php file. @Jamal – are you failing to find the attendees in the actual database or in the Attendee overview page in Event Espresso? If it is the latter then you can check the Retrieval amount filter above the overview table and set it to above 50 and click the Retrieve button |

I retrieve all & still not able to view the registrant. We got another one missing now. |
Hi Dean, BTW what address do the ‘admin’ emails go to? Is it the WordPress admin or the Event Espresso admin email? Thanks. Also interested in resolving this missing registrant thing, too! Thanks, |
@Jamal and @Sean, Can you check on whether the events where this is happening are reaching the attendee limit? Also, were the registrations paid for? @Sean, The admin emails go to the email address that is entered in the field labeled “Primary Contact Email” in Event Espresso>General Settings. |

Hi Josh, thanks for the info, re: emails. Re: attendees — there is no limit on the events. The ones that are paid-for are the ones that concern me, actually. They clearly got to paypal with the system and their “Attendee” name is in the Paypal transaction record along with the event. Cheers, |
Hi Sean, Are you looking in the database for these, or in the attendee overview? |
I checked the main overview and the individual event overview through the EE interface. |
Would it be possible for us to take a look by having you fill out the form here? If you could include the attendee name in question, it would be very helpful. Thank you. |
Hi Sidney, thanks! I will submit the information using the form. Should be done in a few minutes. Cheers, S. |

I took a look in the database. There are 88 entries for attendees. 16 of them are for an event that is no longer in the database, event number 9, that look like test entries. The remaining 72 correspond to those that are visible in the attendee list in the admin. Do you have a name and email for one that has been reported by Paypal, but that is not in the attendee list? |
I think this name is one of the ones that has paid but not in database: Anita Fredriksson |
Hi Sean, I’ve sent you an email with the details I could find from the log files. |
