Hello
I’m Gabor and i would like you to help me guys.
I have a friend who I’m working for now. He has been using Event Espresso for a long time. This plugin is new for me, I’ve just started managing his webpage the other day. He has an issue with the payment page. It’s totally missing. After you fill the form what was requested, the next page is the summary and after you press GO the webpage says: Your registration is not finished till we receive payment. Even if credit card and check/billing information is active in settings, customers are not able to reach that page.
I would be really happy if you can help about it.
some information:
Event espresso 3.1.2
wordpress: 3.9.2 (we just updated it didn’t work with the previouos version either)
Also we are having some wordpress failure. While we were updating the engine the webpage crashed and since then eventespresso generates error messages too.

Hi Gabor,
The version of Event Espresso they’re running is very old and is not compatible with the later versions of WordPress. It’s also no longer supported.
We’ll be able to help if they can renew their support license and update to the current version of Event Espresso 3 (which is 3.1.36.5).
Alternatively if they want to start fresh and do not need the add-ons that are compatible with Event Espresso 3, they could remove the version they have now and start over with Event Espresso 4.

Hi Josh
Thank you so much for your help. The previous IT guy made a really big mess on his webpage and he has been dissapeared so all of our licence information are missing. I have just wrote to event espresso account support if there is solution to find our old account here and download the 3. version. We have only one addon installed, i am not sure if will be ok for the 4. version or if we need it or not. It called: Members Integration Module.
If we can solve the licence issue we would be happy to change to the 4. version also but i have to reconcile with the owner first because he still has pending events on the previous system and we are not sure if we can transfer them to the never versions.

Hi Gabor,
The WP User Integration (members) addon is only currently available for EE3.
As the version your friend is using is so old, it is doubtful they could just jump from that version of EE3 to EE4, at least not without upgrading to a newer version of EE3 first (the database has changed since that version, so a direct update is virtually impossible).
Personally, if the events can be stopped or will stop at some point, it might be better to start with a fresh install of a newer version, either EE3 or EE4, but this would basically be starting from scratch.
