Missing Error Messages

Hi,
We are running the PayPal Payflow Pro payment gateway on EE4 and we ran into an issue where if cards are being declined during registration there is no error message. Users are sitting on step three clicking “Proceed to finalize Registration” and nothing is happening, but in the logs it shows the card being declined every time someone clicks the button.

I can safely assume there should be an error message but it’s not being displayed. How would I go about trying to figure out why? The inspection tool in chrome is not throwing any errors either.

Any help would be much-appreciated thanks!

If you use a fake card number like 4111111111111111 you should experience the issue

Ok, there’s a couple of issues.

You mentioned in your first post you were using PayPal PayFlow, however on your site your using PayPal Pro, which isn’t the same payment method. Is that expected?

To use PayPal Payflow you need this add-on:

The reason no error messages are being shown is that the section EE adds to the page to act as a placeholder for the error messages is not loading on that page.

Are you using a custom template on that page or is it a standard page with the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] shortcode?
