Somehow, some way, the dates and times of events are missing from the single event page (here’s an example http://cajuncanvas.com/events/tropical-beach-january-2016/)
We need this to show up but have no clue where the info went nor how to get it back.

Hi there,
Have you modified the output for Events usign a custom function at all?
If you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates.
At the top you should see a section for single event pages, within that the option ‘Use Custom Display Order?’, set that Yes and refresh the event page.
Do you see more details?

No mods that I know of, and we set the ‘Use Custom Display Order?’ to Yes hoping that it might cause the datetimes to show up but to no avail.

Those datetimes are usually added into the content of the page with a filter on the content. So one place to check is in your theme’s functions.php file to see if there are any functions that are removing filters from the_content() filter hook.
