Minimum permission for Ticketing User

Hi, I have the ticketing app installed on iOS and the R&P, API and ticketing working on the back end. I can log in thru the app and see the events. But when trying to check-in attendees to the event, i receive “Not Authorized to access that endpoint”. The account on the site is setup as a subscriber, I am wondering what the minimum permission function for a ‘ticketing app only role’ is needed to check-in these attendees?

Currently Running

  • WordPress 3.5.1
  • EE 3.1.31.1 P
  • Permissions 1.5.3
  • Ticketing 2.0.9
  • API 2.0.1 B

Thanks,
Eric

I’m pretty sure (not 100% positive) that the user needs to be an administrator. It might be possible that an Event Admin could do it. Since you have the API installed as well, it may depend on whether you are using the original IOS app or if you are using the new Event Espresso HD iPad/iPhone app.

Thanks Chris, I’m using the new HD universal app. Having said that, is there a way to limit certain roles from accessing the endpoint? I’m a bit concerned that any registered user in a subscriber role could potentially pull up ticket information if they knew to just use the app with their login credentials.

We’ve put a ticket in to have the api developer take a look at this issue. Thanks.
