I’m trying to minimising the amount of emails a participant receives once booking an event as they currently receive 3 emails plus the Pay Pal email I’d like for them to only receive 1 email plus the Pay Pal email but my developer can’t figure out how to do it.
Help!
Thanks

Hi Joanne,

Which 3 emails are the users receiving?

By default from EE they should receive the registration approved & payment received emails (possible the ‘ticket notice’ email if you have the ticketing add-on)

Which email do you want disabling?

Hi Tony,

Thank you very much for your quick response.

The 3 emails are:
Event registration details
Event payment details (x2 emails)

Then naturally a Pay Pal email.

Is it possible to put the event registration details and the payment details in the same email to avoid the 4 emails thus only getting 2?

Thanks for your help

Hi Joanne,

Could you take a look at this video tutorial for information on how to transfer the shortcodes for the payment information?

http://cl.ly/3i1d3L2y163D

Here are some notes:

I have the payment received message type open in one tab and the registration approved message type open in another.
Note that I’m editing the primary registrant recipient and then the recipient. You’ll want to apply these changes to those instead of the event admin (e.g. event organizer).

I’m switching to text mode to grab the html include the shortcodes and then switching to the registration approved message type and switching to text mode and then pasting that information in. Be sure to save changes afterwards.

The next step would be to go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings. Then turn off the payment received message type by dragging it to the right column which will deactivate it.

Do let us know if you get this working.

Thanks

Lorenzo
