Want to learn more about Mijireh via EE. Currently using PayPal for online payment option, but fees are getting very high. What does Mikireh provide?

Hi Eric,

Mijireh actually ceased trading September 15, 2019 so is no longer available.

Did you see Mijireh somewhere in our docs or on was it on the forums? We hopefully removed Mijireh from all of our docs but if you’ve seen it somewhere I’d like to get that updated.

Which payment provider are you looking to use?

It’s still on my EE in payment methods. Overall, we’re looking for a payment provider that has less fees than PayPal.

The Mijireh gateway has been removed from EE’s codebase and this change will be included in the next release of EE4.

While PayPal’s fees for transactions are similar to other payment providers, some of their other fees can be higher. This is especially true if you use PayPal Pro where they change $30 per month. Here’s a link to some information that compares PayPal with Stripe and Braintree with regards to their fees and other features:

I don’t have Braintree on my Event Espresso payment options. The following are the payment options I’m seeing.

Authorize.net AIM|Bank Draft|Check|Invoice|Mijireh|PayPal Express|PayPal Pro|PayPal Standard

Braintree and Stripe are available as add-ons.

The Stripe add-on is available to download from your account page (because you have an EE3 license, and Stripe is bundled with EE3). Here’s a link to its documentation that explains how you can get up and running with Stripe:

The Braintree add-on would be a separate support license purchase and you can learn more about the Braintree add-on support license here:

One option is you could check with Moneris about setting up your account to works with Payflow. Payflow Pro is available for Event Espresso 4.
