Migration to new site

Hi,

We are in the process of creating a new website and need to move our event espresso data from the old site to the new site (this is not a straight copy of the old site). Is there a way to do this that is not a manual process?

Is there any sort of backup and restore just for EE? If done manually how do I move over existing transactions, users etc?

Hi Steve,

The way to do that would be by manually copying over all of the tables prefixed with esp_ in their name. Then the rows from the _posts table that have the post type espresso_events, espresso_venues, and espresso_attendees and all related data from _postmeta and the _users tables. Also, if you use categories the related rows from the _term tables would need to be migrated over.
