Having read and followed each of the migration steps…

1. Ensure version 3 is at a version of 3.1.37.x
2. Deactivate and install the new version
3. Activate the new version and go to Maintenance to migrate the data.

There is no option available that we can see to migrate… when we go to the maintenance page it shows

Maintenance Mode options
Reset tables, Delete data etc

What step are we missing?

When we reactivate the old version we can see all of our data…

Hi Noel,

Migrations will only be triggered once, the first time you activate EE and select an option to migrate.

So if you have previously installed EE4 and then reverted back to EE3, or at any point installed and chose not to migrate then EE will not show the option now.

With EE4 activated can you see all of the menu items (Events, Messages, General Settings etc) with none of your current event data?

If so you will need to reset your EE4 data as if EE4 had not been installed (we have an option to do this within EE4) but first be sure you have a full working database backup. IF you don’t have one already create one now before moving any further. (Your removing details from the database, it has been heavily tested and used by many but its always better to be safe 🙂 )

Here is a plugin I have used previously to backup the DB:

I just want to make sure that I am selecting the correct option.

Is this the one to send it back to just after it was installed or is this the option to delete ee4?

It’s the option to delete EE4’s data.
