I went from EE3 to EE4 and I was not able to migrate the events from 3 to 4. I reload EE4 and I loose all my events from EE3 to EE4. Do I have to manually retype all my events into EE4?

I upgraded from EE3 to EE4 and I was not able to migrate and no events were transfer to EE4 from EE3. I reload the EE4 and still no option to migrate.

Hi there,
EE4 gives you the option to migrate your ee3 data over on initial activation, if you choose not to migrate your data over at that point we save an option to the database so that we don’t try to run migrations every time you activate EE4.
So, at some point did you activate EE4 on the site to test it out an nit run migrations at that point?
First, make sure you have a database backup.
If you want to migrate your data over to EE4 you’ll need to reset the ee4 database and we have a tool for that in:
Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete date.
Click on perm delete all EE data.
That will wipe the ee4 tables and deactivate ee4. Reactivate it an you’ll be offered the chance to migrate your data.
Note that any data in ee4 currently will be lost.
