So, I followed the instructions in this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/yoast-seo-meta-description-for-events/

And when I added the custom meta and then went back and refreshed the page and attempted to copy and paste the URL into Oktopost, it didn’t grab my custom event meta, instead continuing to pull the pricing table.

The event is here: http://www.iacac.com/events/january-2016-luncheon-pros-cons-screening-cargo/

My custom excerpt is: Join us Tuesday, January 12th at the Wyndham Garden Elk Grove Village. Registration and networking begins 11:15, lunch at noon. $25.00 for members, $30.00 for non-members and at the door.

Link to the screen capture of what I get when I try to add the URL to a post. This happens uniformly in FB, LinkedIn or Oktopost: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xmvfdrfvbn6hgla/Screen%20Shot%202015-12-30%20at%2011.49.03.png?dl=0

Hi Scott,

You might try reaching out to the SEO plugin support’s staff for support on this. FWIW though, I tried running your event’s URL through the Facebook Open Graph Debug tool and its preview shows the correct excerpt/description:
