1. WordPress 3.6.1 Hello, I had a question on customizing the messaging on closed events. Right now, when an event is not active, this is what is shown: https://thinkbiglearnsmart.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=788 If an event is full this is what is shown: https://thinkbiglearnsmart.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=929 I want to be able to edit the message so that I can put in a contact phone number and email address. Can anyone give any guidance on where to do this? Thank you! |

Hello, you should be able to change that phrase by using the quick localization plugin or a gettext filter. Examples of both are available in this link: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/#plugins — |

Hi Lorenzo, Thank you for your reply. Do you know exactly what term I should be looking for when it comes to closed event messaging? I am not an experienced developer – I am just helping out our regular developer who is swamped. I am leaning towards not downloading the plugin option because we have SO many right now. Thanks so much |

Hello, you would want it to look for this: This event has expired or is no longer available. — |

Hi Lorenzo, I found it – but it is in an inactive file and I cannot find it anywhere else. I went ahead and changed the messaging in the inactive file anyway. Any clues on where else I could try looking or what I am doing wrong? I am sorry if this is a stupid question – I am no pro web developer at all – just figured it would be easy to edit the text! Thank you! |

Sorry, I misunderstood your earlier response. You should not modify the core as your edits will be lost on a software update. Please try editing that message using the quick localization plugin or a gettext filter: https://eventespresso.com/topic/messaging-on-closed-events/#post-89421 — |
