Messages stuck in "Queued for generating" or "Queued for sending"

Hi,

We have a site that uses Event Espresso and we noticed that some of the e-mails got stuck in “Queued for generating” or “Queued for sending” that we really can’t seem to figure out the reason of. There is nothing in the logs.

I saw other people had the same problem and I increased resource limits and etc but didn’t help.

Can somebody give a hint why this can happen?

Here is some system information if it helps:
“WordPress Version: 4.8

PHP Version: 5.5.38

MySQL Version: 5.6.35

Event Espresso Version: 4.9.31.p”

Hi there,

Are all emails now stuck or is it a batch of emails?

If you trigger an email now does it send and still leave the others stuck?

I saw other people had the same problem and I increased resource limits and etc but didn’t help.

Can you let me know which resources/limits and from/to what value?

Thank you for your answer.

It’s just some of the e-mails, not all of them and if I push the send again button they go out without any problem.

I changed the following values and I checked it with phpinfo() to see if the site really got them, and it did:

upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 300
max_input_vars = 3000
memory_limit = 256M

I also put ‘define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );’ in wp-config.php.

Is this a shared server or VPS (or above)?

It is a VPS. A CentOS with WHM and CPanel.

So, is there any solution, or a log where I could look after the reason of this?

The solution may involve backing up your site then updating to the current version of Event Espresso 4.
