Messages are visible in ‘queued for sending’ but do not send.

Setup with WP Mail SMTP (Brevo)

Default message templates setup as they should using shortcodes for To / From etc.

I’ve checked cron events as outlined in this article and they appear as below:
AHEE__EE_Messages_Scheduler__sending
AHEE__EE_Messages_Scheduler__generation
AHEE__EE_Messages_Scheduler__cleanup

I’ve still deactivated the EE4 plugin but still no luck, any ideas please?

Hi there,

When you go to Tools -> Cron Events, does it show anything about WP_CRON being disabled on that page? (Usually it shows a message at the top of the page if that’s the case).

What does it show in the ‘Next Run’ column for each of the above 3?

Hi,
WP_CRON not disabled (Next run is 25 July 2024 11:25 56 seconds).
Here’s a screenshot for Next Run of the 3 mentioned.
Thanks

Hmm, so the crons are triggering.

So if the messages are sitting are ‘Queued for sending’, they are showing in the message activity table with a blue status indicator, correct? (The square box next to the to name and also the colour of the to field)

Yes that’s correct.
Previously I’ve tried the link to ‘send immediately’ but the Error message appears:

‘An error has occurred:
No message was sent because of problems with sending. Either all the messages you selected were not a sendable message, they were ALREADY sent on a different scheduled task, or there was an error. If there was an error, you can look at the messages in the message activity list table for any error messages.’

I’m using Memberpress and those emails are working.

Hi James,

I’ve changed the message setting under Global Message Settings > Generate and send all messages > to send on the same request and it should work fine now.

Hi There,

The mb_convert_encoding() function is from the mbstring PHP Extension.

You’ll need to enable MBString on your server to fix the above error:

https://www.php.net/manual/en/mbstring.installation.php

Sometimes all that is needed is to uncomment something like:

extension=mbstring

Within the PHP.ini file, but that depends if it has already been installed.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for looking into this and sending over the details. I’ll take a look at the installation and feedback.
