The message templates are translated during activation and then saved to the database. After that, the translations can not be applied on the fly to the templates.
To apply the current translations to the templates you will need to edit the template and click the ‘Reset Templates’ button – http://take.ms/iKGfi
That will regenerate the messages and use any translations you currently have activated on the site
(Note you will need to do this for each message template and if you have modified the templates at all the modifications will be lost when you reset)
