I have the shortcodes working in my templates now for everything but two questions/answers from the registration form. Because all the others are working and I checked that the data was stored in the database under the proper questions, I’m wondering if it’s a limitation with the shortcode. The questions are different than the other questions because they contain an apostrophe. The two questions are “Parent’s Last Name” and “Parent’s First Name” so using [ANSWER_* Parent’s First Name] and [ANSWER_* Parent’s Last Name] have not been working and the other 9 questions from the registration form are showing up fine. Can you help shed some light on a possible issue here? Please let me know if you need any further information.
There’s no reason the shortcode shouldn’t work unless there’s a mismatch between the actual question text, and the text after the * in the shortcode. For example, if your question’s text is Parent's Last Name, and the shortcode uses Parent’s Last Name, then that’s actually a mismatch.
Good point! My questions were setup like “Parent’s First Name” and my shortcodes were “Parent’s First Name” which I’m not sure how that difference happened, but it was different. Missed that tiny detail. Thanks for the direction! I haven’t tested it out yet, but imagine that was it.
