Hello,
I updated WordPress and lost my menu bar in the Visual Mode. I have called Bluehost and they say it is not at their end. I have disabled each plugin to see if there is a conflict. I have checked my Admin boxes… Can you help?

Hi there,
Is the menu bar missing from all pages in WP? For example if you add/edit a standard page/post does it show then?
Do you have the JetPack plugin installed on the site?
If you open up Chrome dev tools (or similar) on the editor and view the ‘console’ tab, do you see any errors there?

Thank you for responding… No, it is not missing from other WP pages/posts.
I do have Jetpack installed. I am looking for the Chrome dev tools right now…

OK… I disabled Jetpack and my Menu Bar is back. How will I live without Jetpack? Is it not protecting my WP account?

The recent update to the Jetpack plugin has a bug that breaks the editor.
The Jetpack developers are aware of the bug and are working on a fix. In the meantime you can deactivate the contact form module within JetPack’s Debug > “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site” page. They show how to get that page here:
