Wordpress Version: 3.5.1

Event Espresso Version 3.1.33

Members Addon Version 1.9.7.1

Social Coupons Version 1.5.3

I am doing some tests on a new website and i created a test groupon code (freetest), Registered to a dummy event and then canceled the event.

When i went to the backend and looked at the available groupon codes

1freetest   USED

2freetest   ACTIVE

3freetest   ACTIVE

4freetest   ACTIVE

So it created a new duplicated code and changed the status for each change but not updating the original.

Another question would be when i sell a groupon code and i’ve allow multiple bookings the 1 code would discount all the attendees when its only valid for 1 attendee on say groupon.

The Social Coupons or the promotional code plugin don’t have the features like each additional attendee must have there own discount code.

Is this planned for the future or an option when we add the codes to say this discounts x attendees as i don’t allow multiple registration because the way they could get 4 tickets with 1 valid code.

thanks and hope that makes sense.

Hi there,

With this question:

I am doing some tests on a new website and i created a test groupon code (freetest), Registered to a dummy event and then canceled the event.
When i went to the backend and looked at the available groupon codes
1freetest USED
2freetest ACTIVE
3freetest ACTIVE
4freetest ACTIVE

So it created a new duplicated code and changed the status for each change but not updating the original.

Can you clarify what happened here? Are there now 8 codes?

With the second question: Yes, there are plans to re-write the Groupon module for Event Espresso 4.x which will allow for group registrations. The development for something like this is currently on hold because the core Event Espresso plugin is the focus right now.

So i created the first groupon code freetest, i then used that code to register for a dummy event. i then went to myevents(wp members view) and canceled the event. Then i went to the backend and saw that it  had now created 3 of the same codes additional to the original as stated above.
1freetest USED2freetest ACTIVE3freetest ACTIVE4freetest ACTIVE

And thanks this will make EE complete once that development has been done.

Hi Dean,

I went through and tested this out and the groupon codes stayed the same after canceling the registration from the my events page. When someone cancels a registration via the member’s My events page any groupon codes that may have been used do not automatically get reset to the active status.

ok i’ll test this again as it seems to happen to my groupon codes

on the my events the table is missing values and out of line. even if i add in a value like echo $event_name the first column that is missing it will not display. see here http://s23.postimg.org/upld0ge4r/myevents.png

i have downloaded a fresh copy of the my_events_page.php and still same issue.

I’m not able to duplicate either issue, the groupon code duplication or the missing data columns on the my events page.
Are all your plugins on the latest versions, and have you made any modifications to any of the plugin files?
