Hi im creating a registration page and need it so that only members can see and answer certain questions, ive ticked admin only view but that just removes the question from the page for everyone.
Thanks

Hi,

Currently the system is either on/off. You can create events for members, so only logged in users can see the details and register, but then none members wouldnt be able to register for the event.

I will add this to a feature request for future versions.

how long would this take to be added out of interest?

It’s a feature request so we can’t say if or when it will be added, but we do review the feature requests when planning out the next versions of the plugin.

ah ok thankyou, is there anyway i can be notified if this feature has been accepted or rejected? or if theres another way to do this sort of thing (its really important for my site for a certain group of people to have to answer different questions)

On a related member registration note, currently i have members free whilst non members have to play a price plus VAT (surcharge) but its currently making members play the surcharge from the full price, any ideas?
Thanks for your time

We don’t generally advise on it, but you can keep an eye on the Change Log and if I see anything occur on it I’ll let you know.

A way around it. Well, if you know some php and/or jquery you could theoretically create a new registration_page_display.php with logic in it to not display the Question groups depending on if a user is logged in or not.
This would only work with groups not individual questions as only groups are given ids that you can easily use.

Re surcharge, not sure, it doesnt happen that way on my tests with 3.1.27.P or .26 and the Members add on.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form

P.S. if you could start a new thread for a new topic that would be awesome! Allows people to search for similar problems and stops threads from getting all confused.

WP ones. I just want to look to see how its setup in the dashboard area, to see if something isnt quite right, because I can’t recreate the issue here.

Hi,

Re: the surcharge. I’ve passed this over to the devs to see if they can create a workaround as the standard process for it is

The surcharge amount entered in the Standard Pricing column will be
automatically added to the prices in the Member Pricing column when
someone registers for an event.

So because you have the standard price with VAT its pushing the VAT over to the members automatically.

any progress on this workaround?

Hi

Unfortunately not yet no. It is in the system and the developers will be looking at it as soon as they can.
